PLEASE DISTRBUTE THIS INFO TO ANYONE IN OUR ZONE ON YOUR EMAIL LIST.
I encourage everyone to participate in the Re-Zoning Process for St Tammany Parish.
This is probably a good thing.
St Tammany was split into five (5) zones and our area ZONE 5 is the last to begin the process of public imput to the staff and public officials who will design and vote on our future zoning.
Please bookmark this site for future reference. http://www.stpgov.org/departments_planning_rezoning.php
Questions or comments about the rezoning process may be e-mailed to rezoning@stpgov.org.
TUESDAY NOVEMBER 17TH, 2009 KOOP DRIVE GOVERNMENT CENTER (typically held at 6PM)
If the Zoning Commissioners do not have questions or alterations, they can call a vote at this point. If there are questions or revisions offered, the vote would be postponed.
THE PARISH COUNCIL MUST VOTE ON THE PROCESS FOLLOWING IT'S SUCCESSFUL PASSAGE OUT OF THE ZONING COMMISSION.
If I get enough email requests from our community, I will ask for a meeting with the zoning staff to be held in our area prior to the end of August.
Sidney Fontenot said he would be willing if to hold another meeting if there is a request of sufficient volume. There was a problem with the electronic press release that announced the the meeting that was held yesterday.
Please watch the St Tammany Farmer Newspaper and our other newspapers for additional information. The St Tammany Farmer is the official source of notification for the Parish.
